In this inspiring May issue of WOI we begin to look at a beautiful period residence in the heart of Holland, combining inspiration from partly Gustavian and Mediterranean backgrounds. Both designer Ischa Van Delft and antique dealer Jean–Jacques Masse transformed this beautiful disused café into a stunning home. We then go on to look at Artist Ben Langland’s and Nikki Bell’s Minimalist home in London’s East End where they draw together leftovers of local life with a simplistic approach. Finally, originally a ‘hammam’ bath house within the tranquil setting of Palais Sursock in central Beirut shows traditional Lebanese features with ornate window tracery. Many of the walls are painted in traditional colours of dark red, black and cream. Thanks WOI's!
