Haring was an influential social activist and American artist who's work began as a response to the New York street culture of the 1980's. The current exhibition in Paris particularly focuses on the importance of the political content of Haring's work. The exhibition at Le Centquatre is made up of almost 250 pictures on canvas and tarpaulins. It also includes his work from subway walls and 25 monumental works making this one of the largest presentations of Haring’s works ever. One of the most well-known artists of his time, and even today his inimitable style, with its strong, graphic line remains familiar to all. A must see if your in Paris this summer. It is running until the 18th of August.
