Yesterday saw the opening of the Bar BBQ on Ice pop up, Exchange Square. Set in the city, this quirky pop up restaurant and take away offers a delicious array of warming winter treats. Ranging from 14 hour hickory smoked pulled pork shoulder, mulled wine and very tempting cocktails - nothing could scream comfort food louder and what a perfect way to warm up this winter!
Inspired by American deep South traditional dining, the design brings authenticity to the BBQ experience. Diners can step out of their wintery city office and into a bona fide American grill house. The communal tables hope to bring people together, creating an unpretentious and relaxed dining atmosphere. With the juxtaposition of rough textures and boldly coloured furniture, the design aims to ring a playful nature. Whilst the raw timber bar adds an organic flexibility to the space the brilliant neon signs bring a warm urban glow to the exterior.
All in all, Bar BBQ on Ice looks to brighten up Exchange Square. Whether you're after a skate, some frozen cocktails or wood burning grilled delight, this pop-up is set to get everyone into the festive spirit.
