Thought we would pick and choose a couple of different things from this '98 WOI. Simply too much to choose from in this exquisite issue. From Fernand Leger to William Scott, the art focus is wonderfully diverse. The interiors are equally varied; the cover story dresses bottles, walls and even furniture in material then they head north to the spine chilling Ice Hotel in Norway. Thanks for the winter inspiration, WOI!
On the north-eastern peninsula of Gotland island lies the Fabriken Fullen. The abandoned limestone quarry was transformed into a hotel by photographer, Johan Hellstrom. The vast and strikingly beautiful terrain creates the perfect location for this unique hotel. The interiors are both raw and cozy, a mix we adore. The grey colour scheme allows the interiors to become apart of their bleak landscape and its eco-friendly too! It seems as though you could be staying on the edge of the world.
Pacifist and artist Paul Peter Piech made timeless statements through his work. His graphic background has clearly influenced his bold images, allowing his message to become all the more captivating. Massive Kudos to the late artist. An inspiration to us all.
