THE WORLD OF INTERIORS | AUGUST 1998

The W.O.I of August '98 opens a window into this beautiful Gascon house. We particularly love the music room, which is papered with music sheets from the 19th and 20th century. What more could you need to inspire you in the foothills of the Pyrenees?

EXHIBITION: THE VOLLARD SUITE | BRITISH MUSEUM

For the first time the full series of Pablo Picasso’s Vollard Suite goes on show in Britain. The British Museum utilises its extensive art collection to exhibit classical busts alongside the prints, emphasising Picasso’s inspiration. The etchings were created at a poignant time in the artist’s life, as he struggled to understand both his personal identity and Europe’s increasingly unstable political state. After seeing ‘Picasso and Modern British Art’ at the Tate Britain in the spring, exploring another aspect of his art depicts the copious sides to his genius. Hoping to head shortly!!
