PHOTOGRAPHY: ROBERT FRANK | THE AMERICANS

Robert Frank is considered by many to have been a major influence in how 20th Century photography developed. His book 'The Americans' was first published back in 1958 and portrayed America as what it was at the time, a contrast of simple beauty throughout the country mixed with an incredible amount of racism.

We were kindly given the book back in September 2009, thanks to our friends at Laserow Antiques, and looking through the book now, still has the amazing ability to still seem so contemporary in its story line as it would have done over 50 years ago.

GRAPHIC ARTS: A CENTURY OF OLYMPIC POSTERS

As it's Olympic fever in London town we thought we'd share some old posters with you all - with our particular favourite being the Mexican 1968 poster. A revised edition of the book, 'A Century of Olympic Posters,' has recently been released with the new Vancouver and London games.

The majority of the original posters from the book are from the V&A archives and can currently be seen at the National Sports Museum in Australia.
