As you may have noticed, we love all things African and so this book is right up our street. The majority of these pieces in the book tend to have a religious or ritual meaning behind it but yet have an incredibly strong design ethos.
The book is well put together and shows the last 4/500 years of African items from weaponry to religious masks, covering all the regions of Africa. Written by one of Germany's top experts on African Art, the book is a good guide to those interested in learning more and has quite a few pretty pictures.
From the 4th - 7th May sees the opening of the 2012 Freize fair in NY. Art guru Rory Mitchell is there with his gallery, Alison Jacques, and will be reporting back to us with the highs and lows of the weeks.
This uber trendy bar/restaurant on the idilic Brazilian beach of Praia offers the perfect mix of fresh grilled seafood, cocktails and views over the beach and mountains. The design is simple but doesn't need to be more. If you're wanting to see beautiful people in a relaxed environment, it doesn't get much better than Rocka Fish.
