Our favourite Spaniard, Marta, was in Lisbon over the weekend staying at Baixa House:
MARTA: 'If you want to feel more than a hotel experience, you should stay at Baixa House. It is a group of 12 cozy apartments in a 18th century refurbished building in the city's historic district. The building has been carefully restored conserving most of its original construction elements such as wooden floors, tiles, windows, ceilings…
Each apartment is named after a different garden in the city and have an interior design mixing modern and vintage furniture, decorative accessories, industrial lights...We loved the patterns on the interior walls as you can find them all around Lisbon facades!!'
Apologies for the rather long delay in posts. We've just returned from another work trip to Hong Kong - more to come on that later. Today we have a later 19th century extremely primitive jelly cupboard which is from a barn in the state of New York. Would look lovely in our future Italian country farm house.
