These images are a real eye catcher. Dependent on marital status the homes are either round (bachelors) or square (married) in this little village in Burkina Faso. The decorative patterns consist of triangle, line and diamond shapes, adding a unique creativity to the reddish brown base. Drawings of sacred animals, such as snakes and crocodiles, are present to bestow protection upon the village. These geometric patterns may be familiar from western fashions this summer, showing how forms can be inspirational across the globe. Apparently the world is not quite as large as we think!
