OUR 1ST DIBS FAVOURITES : WINTER STORIES #48 BY PAOLO VENTURA

Rather festive, rather fun and rather beautiful.

INTERIORS INSPIRATION: HOST RESTAURANT | DENMARK

The Danish architects, Norm have nailed this design. Their raw Scandonavian style shines through these shots along with vintage pieces and simple pottery. The aim was to transfer a rural atmosphere into an urban environment and they have successfully brought this to their design by using exposed surfaces whilst sustaining a minimalist aesthetic. Hats off to you, Norm - beautifully done!

INTERIORS INSPIRATION: SHELTER CO. | CALIFORNIA

Thanks to remodelista for bringing this one to our attention

If comfort is not something you usually associate with camping then think again. California based Shelter brings ease to the campsite, coupled with style and authenticity they create a unique holiday experience. We love the details that bring just the right touch to this beautiful campsite. What a magical spot to get back to basics in peace and quiet.

BOOKS: TREE HOUSES | FAIRY TALE CASTLES IN THE SKY

Everyone loves tree houses and the new book from Taschen will surely have a style for everyone, with 50 ranging from modern through to incredibly rustic and pure.

ART: HENRY MOORE | LATE LARGE WORKS

Though this exhibition has sadly passed, it is well worth taking a minute to appreciate. Henry Moore, one of the UKs leading sculptors, shows his fluid forms in the inspiring late works. The exhibitions minimal interior allows full attention on the grandeur of Moore's impressive pieces. We only wish we had taken the chance to witness it in person.

ARTIST: JOAQUIM CHANCHO'S ART OF ABSTRACTION

Joaquim Chancho's work is characterised by his structural patterns. Vivid colours and geometric shapes contribute massively to give his pieces such an aesthetic impact. Though the concept is simple we're sure you'll agree that the effect is far from it. We absolutely love these bursts of colour!

WORLD OF INTERIORS | NOVEMBER 97

From art installations in the Sahara to a beautiful dilapidated house on the Caribbean island of Curacao: it's another WOI gem. Beautiful British ceramics by Michael Archer as well as Roger Hilton's Tate exhibition also make a feature. We love it!

INTERIORS INSPIRATION: CASTELLO SFORZESCO CEILINGS | MILAN

PHOTOS BY ALEXANDER WATERWORTH INTERIORS

The Castello Sforzesco is one of the most historic and culturally rich sites in Milan. Though abundant in history and art, we couldn't divert our eyes from the magnificent ceilings. Luckily it wasn't just a sore neck that we were left with to remember them, so we thought we'd share these few pictures. The art and interiors were beautiful, our favourite spot in Milan.

ART SALE: PHILLIPS DE PURY | NEW YORK

Phillips de Pury are on the verge of putting on an auction in New York. The range of items are fun and bold and we thought we'd bring you a selection to whet your appetite for the event. Best wishes over the pond for a swift and safe recovery!

INTERIORS INSPIRATION: SAN GIORGIO | MYKONOS

The only cure for the prospect of a fast approaching winter is the dream of sunshine. This villa in Mykonos is beautifully designed; the white washed interiors, raw timber and splashes of deep reds give it the perfect colour combo. A healthy dose of sunshine and a gorgeous sea breeze...delightful!
